Dr Shriniwas Chinta

He completed his foundational paediatric training before advancing his expertise in Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine at the esteemed Seth GS Medical College.

After relocating to Australia, Dr Chinta further honed his skills by completing advanced training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics and Child Health Division) in 2014. He then served as a postgraduate fellow and consultant in neonatal medicine at Liverpool NICU, where he gained invaluable experience in managing critically ill newborns.

Dr Chinta’s commitment to continuous learning led him to complete advanced training in general paediatrics in 2019. With over twenty years of experience as a trainee, fellow, and consultant, he has worked in various capacities across multiple hospitals in New South Wales, both in metropolitan and regional health networks.

Currently, Dr Chinta holds a position as a VMO consultant in neonatology at Gosford Private Hospital and Auburn Hospital. His responsibilities include caring for critically ill newborns in the NICU and Special Care Nursery (SCN), as well as monitoring their growth and developmental progress during outpatient follow-up after discharge.

Dr Chinta’s extensive experience and dedication to newborn and paediatric care make him a valuable asset to the medical community. He has a special interest in infant growth and development, premature infant care, nutrition, reflux, colic, sleep, and settling concerns and sees patients up to five years of age.
