Our team of Specialists include both female and male gynaecologists who have unique areas of expertise and sub-specialised training. They have enjoyed extensive careers in both the private and public hospital systems on The Central Coast, gaining significant experience working as gynaecologists and in laparoscopic surgery.
Our Specialists work as a team and if deemed necessary, you may be referred in-house to another one of our gynaecologists in an effort to optimise outcomes and ensure you are cared for by our most experienced Specialist, given your individual medical condition or treatment options.
During Your First Appointment
During your initial consultation, we will obtain your full medical history and a physical examination may be conducted. Recommendations can then be made based on your symptoms, diagnostic indications and treatment options, or simple follow-up and monitoring could also be recommended.
Following your appointment, our Specialists will correspond closely with your valued GP.
Follow-up Appointments
If required, we usually recommend a follow-up appointment between two weeks and 6 months after your initial appointment, depending on your medical plan.
We also recommend a follow-up appointment between two and six weeks after any surgery. For concerns arising in the meantime, please contact us, or visit your valued GP.

No, generally not. Intuition Private is a full-service private clinic with expert doctors and state-of-the-art technology, offering an exceptional patient experience each and every time therefore there is an out of pocket expense associated with most consultations and procedures.
No, you are not necessarily required to have Private Health Insurance to be a patient with Intuition Private. A self-funded patient is one who does not have Private Health Insurance, therefore simply pays for their own medical treatment upfront.
If you are a Medicare card holder and wish to claim the Medicare rebate, yes, you will require a valid referral from either a GP or another specialist to entitle you to claim your Medicare rebate. GP referrals are valid for 12 months and Specialist referrals are valid for 3 months.
Your referral must be addressed to Intuition Private, or at least one of our doctors, at our North Gosford Practice address. Unfortunately, if your referral is addressed to the Gosford Public Hospital Gynae Clinic, Medicare will not accept it.
Medicare ineligible patients or patients who do not wish to claim the Medicare rebate do not require a referral to attend our practice and will be billed per our standard rates.

Yes, although you do not necessarily need to have Private Health Insurance to see us, as you can be a Self-Funded Patient. Should you wish to opt for surgery at Gosford Public Hospital, Dr Kelly Hankins’ holds a public hospital appointment and can therefore consult with you privately at our practice, consenting you for surgery for the Public Waiting List.
