Gosford, NSW – Intuition Private Obstetrics and Gynaecology is pleased to announce that Specialist Paediatrician Dr Ahmed Khan will be joining the practice from Thursday, 4 September 2025, expanding access to expert paediatric care for families on the Central Coast.

Dr Khan brings over two decades of experience in paediatrics, including his ongoing role at Gosford Hospital and his former position as Head of Paediatrics, a role which he held for more than six years.

He provides comprehensive care for children of all ages, with a focus on behavioural concerns, developmental needs, and complex paediatric conditions, including a key role in childhood ADHD diagnosis protocols.

“With demand for paediatric care growing across the Central Coast, many families face long waitlists or need to travel significant distances for specialised services,” said Karina Wright, Clinic & Business Manager at Intuition Private.

“Dr Khan’s appointment and Intuition Private ensures families can access timely, expert care right here within their local community,” she added.

Dr Khan will be seeing patients at Intuition Private 1–2 days per week, with no initial waiting list, ensuring children receive prompt care when it’s needed most.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Khan is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle, actively contributing to the advancement of paediatric practice and education.

Appointments are now open, and referrals can be sent directly to Intuition Private via General Practitioners, who have also been made aware of the new appointment of Dr Khan.
