I had the most wonderful experience with Intuition Private and Dr Skilbeck. From my very first appointment with her, I always felt safe, supported in my choices and comfortable. I wanted to have an unmedicated birth with no intervention (which isn’t overly common in the private hospital) and Dr Skilbeck supported me to see my plan through, and was there . I had a really positive birth experience and am so pleased I got to welcome my baby boy into the world the way I wanted. Thanks to Dr Skilbeck and the amazing midwives at Intuition!

Choosing to birth privately with our own obstetrician was a very important part of our pregnancy journey. The personalised care meant that our baby boy was delivered safe and healthy.

Dr Shah provided a calming and reassuring presence at each visit and always ensured thoroughness throughout the whole pregnancy. He and the Intuition team were always available to us to answer any questions/concerns we had.

The best in obstetric care! I first joined intuition back in 2022 after a negative experience in the public sector. I had my 2nd baby with Dr Shah and had an amazing experience. So much so that I went back to Dr. Shah and intuition private this year to have my third baby and hi was delivered safely and without worry thanks to Dr. Shah and the midwives. Him and the amazing team of midwives took the best care of me and advocated for my needs when I had some challenging moments in the third trimester. I wouldn’t trust anyone else and would 100% return to Dr. Shah and intuition private if I have another baby (regardless of where he is delivering out of due to the private hospital closure).

I really want to meet the right doctor at this hospital. Yesterday my husband took me to this hospital, and the funny thing is that this doctor told us to go somewhere else. Before I met this doctor, I had an X-ray, and from the results of my X-ray, there were 2 lumps on the wall of my uterus and every time I menstruate, I bleed a lot. I don't know where else to go. I'm confused because I'm a newcomer here. So my husband chose this hospital. And what surprised me was that I was told to go somewhere else. The doctor's service was really disappointing. Had the most amazing experience with Dr.Peta Skilbeck. It was my first baby and she made me feel comfortable my entire pregnancy informing me on everything I needed to know. She advised and gave me confidence to ask questions even if they were silly.
Through labour she was very reassuring and put the health of the baby and me before anything. Advised if something needed changing and was very calm and reassuring when it came time to have a cesarean. Very kind and knowledgeable in all aspects and made me feel as though my voice was heard throughout the whole process.

I had such an amazing and nurturing experience with DR Peta Skillbeck and her team of midwives and staff at intuition private. I looked forward to each appointment to the complimentary sparkling waters, the warm staff interactions and of course seeing baby on the ultrasound screen.The environment of my c-section was truely nothing I experienced before (first baby born in Sydney) with warm and friendly staff who laughed and reassured me the whole way. I loved seeing the midwives on the maternity ward who were also with me during my appointments. This was extremely reassuring as they knew me and my preferences and history. Even through my diagnosis of MS 2 weeks postpartum Peta and her team made sure I was well looked after and given the right care. I look forward to “working” with them for baby number 3.

He was our rainbow baby and I think having the extra appointments/ check ins kept my anxious mind at ease throughout the journey. I knew the team were just a phone call away if I was ever concerned or worried.
We loved the care we received both during the pregnancy but also through labour/ hospital and post natal that it was never even a question who we would choose for our second born in 2024. We delivered our second son in July this year - and we rave about how amazing Peta and her team are. The follow up care was also excellent. Lots of finishing touches that make the patient experience extremely comfortable.

My husband and I had an amazing experience with Dr Peta Skilbeck. I first came to Intuition Private after experiencing a silent miscarriage and we were blown away with Peta’s genuine compassion and gentle bedside manner. When we fell pregnant again months later, there was no question who we wanted caring for us.

My baby turned out to be breech and again, we were amazed at the time and care that was taken to help us work through what options we had available and at no point felt like our choices were taken out of our hands. No question was too silly, no decision was ever judged or pushed onto us and she always presented us with scientific and statistical information that would help us analyse what to do. In addition to this, her team are amazing. The midwives, the other obstetricians and the admin team were faultlessly supportive and made us feel like they were equally as invested in our baby as we were.

I was originally really disappointed about having to have a cesarean, but I have to say, it was the most special experience of my life. Every doctor, every nurse, every interaction we had made the day so special. The surgery was personalised, calm (even relaxing in a weird way) and not at all clinical or emotionally removed like I had been warned by people. It was sentimental, and incredibly special for both my husband and me. I have had many friends describe their experiences on the public system and while I know it can be fantastic, it doesn’t seem to really compare to the level of care and choice that we had. Worth every penny in our minds. Thank you so much for making our first pregnancy and the birth of our son so special and memorable. See you at the next one!

Dr Kelly was absolutely amazing an excision specialist that found and operated on endometrosis.
She Also put me under the care of an amazing pelvic pysio in wyong hospital and pain management clinic in randwick womens hospital.
Amazing bedside manner, listens, acts, believes and try's to find a solution.

Dr Shah is the most remarkable obstetrician. I’m a mum who decided to go private after a terrible experience in a Sydney public hospital with my first. Dr Shah is a professional, the leader in his field. He ensured I felt as though I could place my complete trust in him (and I could). I knew what was happening every step of the way. Having a difficult pregnancy I frequented the private hospital on many occasions. I was admitted on the majority of my visits. It was never an issue, Dr Shah only cared for the safety of my baby and myself. He also ensured that my mental stability was on track too. I recommend Dr Shah in every capacity.
